Investor report — April 2026 now available
Phitrust Asia is the Singapore-based impact investment arm of Phitrust Partenaires. Since 2017 we have backed enterprises with patient capital and hands-on support — closing the early-stage funding gap in Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam — and soon the Philippines.
Early-stage enterprises in Southeast Asia struggle to raise less than $500K, as most impact investors concentrate on larger, later-stage transactions. Phitrust Asia invests precisely within that gap — $100K to $300K in equity, convertible bonds or debt — always alongside at least one co-investor.
Our investment thesisWith a five- to seven-year investment horizon, Phitrust Asia is a patient shareholder that supports portfolio companies through board and advisory board participation and access to experienced sector specialists, building on Phitrust's 20+ years of impact investing experience in Europe.
Meet the team & committeeSince our first investment in 2017, Phitrust Asia has built a portfolio of enterprises whose business models grow impact and revenue together. Figures below are from our April 2026 investor report.
April 2026Impact indicators are collected quarterly from every portfolio company.
* Beneficiaries: small farmers, suppliers or clients of portfolio enterprises.
We select enterprises whose profits and impact grow together, targeting at least three UN Sustainable Development Goals, with precise impact KPIs agreed before we invest.
Climate change, declining natural resources and fragmented supply chains are reshaping agriculture across Southeast Asia. We invest in businesses that strengthen sustainable food value chains—from climate-smart farming and sustainable inputs to processing, distribution and market access—to improve farmer livelihoods while building resilient food systems.
Food systems support millions of livelihoods across SEA.Unequal access to quality education, skills and decent work continues to limit economic opportunity for underserved communities. We invest in inclusive education, workforce development and employment solutions that equip people with market-relevant skills and connect them to sustainable livelihoods.
Human capital is the foundation of inclusive economic growth. We focus on five Southeast Asian markets where strong entrepreneurial talent, growing impact ecosystems and limited early-stage capital create attractive opportunities for impact investment. Our local presence and long-standing networks enable us to source and support promising enterprises from the early stages.
Impact objectives sit at the core of every investment decision. We look for enterprises whose growth mechanically increases their impact — then stay for the long run.

“I was specially attracted by Phitrust's excellent track record on various continents; a very dedicated, enthusiastic and locally based team focused on Southeast Asian local economies; a definite commitment to agriculture and access to employment — key sectors to aim at a social impact. Hence, welcome to join our nice group of impact investors!”
“In 2020, SIDI decided to pursue its activities in the region in close partnership with Phitrust Asia — to benefit from its local presence, its networks of enterprises and its ‘impact first’ positioning, similar to that of SIDI. Supporting small farmers and creating added value locally, through food value chains that respect the environment, biodiversity and people, is at the heart of both our strategies.”

“I selected Phitrust Asia for three reasons: a dedicated, locally-based team full of expertise and enthusiasm; a good track record along multiple projects in different sectors and geographies; and their inclusiveness to leverage my own skillsets as a hands-on Investment Committee member.”
“Henri de Reboul offered us the opportunity to create together an impact investment vehicle in Southeast Asia and deploy the impact investing expertise we developed in Europe. We are delighted to see that Phitrust Asia, with patience, determination and confidence in promising social entrepreneurs, is succeeding to identify and select high-quality ventures and to support them. Let’s convince other investors and partners to join Phitrust Asia!”
